WHY is it that we feel lonely
when the whole world is with us?

GROWING UP

In primary school in every standard we were made to do a assignment on 'myself'.... we used to write the usaul stuff wich began 'my name is......' n so on it went..... we also had teachers talking about growing up n stuff. That 'growing up' is not what this 'growing up' is................ a couple of months into college n i realised tht there is a different kind of growing up..... tht wich has to be quick n it's not natural... it's we who have to control it.............
after class 12.... life changes in a matter of 3 months... these 3 months are not for transition or anything .... thy r jus there for us to hang around... eat n sleep........ but wen these 3 months end n we get into college tht is wen a certain 'growth' is expected of us....
3 months before we were in school..... our behaviour guided by a set of rules(only technically) every minute in school was sheltered.the school guarded us from the real world.....and suddenly in college we are exposed to the world tht it is....... this change is so sudden frm being sheltered to being on our own........tht's not my problem... it's sumthing altogether very different....
i thot the difference between school n college wud be..... no uniform.... full on bunkin..... a level of independence....... n more fun....... but i saw one more difference.... a difference tht very loudly said "grow up baby.... its not school anymore or u are goin to become a retard".... sounds weird does it? not to me.........
i knew in college we see stuff we have never seen before... the good n d bad......
i saw the good first as everybody does........ but i never expected to see the bad so soon.......i dont knw if seeing it soon was good or bad for me...... sometimes i think it was good ..... cos it shook me out of my rosy world n i realised college is so bloody different frm school................... being in college means tht we kids have been asked grow up..... wich i stubbornly refused to n still do................
wat is it tht college is so different frm school............. the only answer i can come up with is freedom......... the freedom is almost uncontrolled in college ........... i like the freedom we get in college.... but if tht freedom leads to negativity i prefer being in school.......... i dont mind wearin uniform.... attendin classes....and doin the home work. i mite be feelin this cos i refuse to change my mindset to the required but i dont care..... i m goin to go thru college without tht supposedly required mind-set.......................i m not goin to grow up to college cos i m goin to enjoy college as i am.........cos there things in college wich are like school......... FRIENDS n the fun i have with them................

THE OLYMPIAN ZEUS!!!!!!!

Zeus,the god of sky and thunder.... the king of gods... the universal father...(tht's literally true...almost!!!). There are 12 Olympian gods... formed by Zeus and his siblings n their children....(only few of their children were the main gods.... rest were semi-gods or less important or humans!!!!)
Zeus married Hera, the god of marriage.. she is also his sister. though he was married to her... he had many affairs....n was married to Metis. the goddess of prudence b4 Hera. wen Metis was pregnant... Zeus swallowed her because of the prophecy tht he wud be killed by her 2nd child(strikes a chord doesn't it).....but the child in her womb did not die... the child came out full grown frm Zeus' head... this was Athene,the goddess of wisdom. Hera bore him 4 children..Ares..Eris..Hebe and Hephaestus. Hera was Zeus' 3rd wife... his 2nd wife was Themis,goddess of Justice...she bore him daughters called The Fates.
Zeus had other children as well... from his affairs wid other goddesses n HUMANS.
Leto was one of the goddesses who were the consorts of Zeus...Leto by relation is Zeus' aunt(sister of Chronus.. daughter of Uranus).... till now the gods were courtin their sisters but now we see thm courtin their aunts(btw Metis n Themis are also his aunts).... way to go Zeus. Both were parents to twins Apollo n Artemis.
Dione,the mother goddess was the mother of one of the children of Zeus. this child is Aphrodite,the goddess of love.(however there is also another story of the parentage of Aphrodite.. so we cant be too sure of this affair of Zeus... but in many places Aphrodite has addressed Dione as mother so.....)
Hermes,the messenger of gods is the son of Zeus n Maia... Maia is the daughter of Atlas...Atlas is a cousin of Zeus.. tht makes Maia his niece!!!!!! oh my god!!!!! n ppl thin k gods are virtous....
Demeter , Zeus' sister was the mother of Persephone... and her father was Zeus.... bhai -behen ka rishta!!!!!!!!!
The Muses,goddesses of different arts were the daughters of Zeus n Mnemosyne.... who is an aunt of Zeus....

This was the story of affairs of Zeus wid goddess.... now it's time for his affairs wid Humans............
Europa,after whom Europe is named was tricked by Zeus... luckily at this point of time Hera was distracted n so Europa did not face the jealous wrath of Hera. Their sons were Minos 1 n Rhadamanthus....
Io, was another human wid whom Zeus had an affair.Now the interestin part here is tht Io bore him a son Epaphus.... the twelth generation of Io is represented by Heracles(Herucles)... his mother was Alcmene(a mortal) n we all know who
Heracles' father is............
Dionysus,the god of vegetation,fertility and wine was the son of Semele(mortal) and Zeus...Semele is the only mortal to be the parent of a god.
both Io n Semele had to face the wrath of Hera.

This was the love life of the most prolific of the Greek gods. Zeus can also be called the god of flirting n infidelity. so ladies n gentlemen be a flirt n an infidel.... it's godly to be one...... we could call this 'THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL' of the GREEK GODS......wat i was wondering was how did gods address each other.... cos the aunt is also the wife.... the son is also a brother.... confusion.. confusion.. confusion..This is only wat is known about the gods there mite other incidents wich we dont know abt..... there mite be other lovers of gods who have not come to lite... n it is not only Zeus, the other gods walked on the same lines but nobody can beat Zeus......now one can understand why Zeus is the universal father.... all hail Zeus!!!!
this blog post is by no means meant to disrespect the greek mythology..... i respect the greek mythology in the same way i respect indian mythology..... these are jus thots tht crossed my mind..... no offence meant to any of the scholars of the mythology.... but thy will admit wat i have written is true!!!!!!

GREEK MYTHOLOGY!!!!!!!

It's only recently that i have come in contact wid Greek Mythology in it's true sense.... and all i know right now is the tip of the tip of the iceberg. I jus thot now tht i knw a little bit about it why not write what i think about it.... as it is my teachers in college keep on sayin tht we want to know what ur interpretation is......
it is said tht in the beginning there was Chaos n thn slowly earth... sky etc. were formed......Gaea,the Earth gave birth to Uranus, the heaven..... now this where it gets interestin... and i mean it. now wid the help of Uranus.. Gaea produced 3 cyclops , Hecatonchieres and the 12 Titans.... the MOTHER partnered wid the SON to produce other gods.....(i have heard tht it is animals who recognise no relationship) now wat will Uranus call the cyclops, hecatoncheires and the titans.. brothers/sisters or sons/daughetrs.... n wat will Gaea call thm her children or grandchildren.... hmmmmm(problem tht too an ethical one) interestin... n this is jus the start....one of the Titans was Chronus... who didnt like Uranus...nor did the other kids of Uranus..... Gaea n Chronus plotted to kill Uranus...n finally he was killed by Chronus....(conspiracy)...... Chronus became the king of the gods after his father.... he married Rhea who was his sister(bhai aur behen... wah wah).... thy had 6 children .....Zeus.. Poseidon..Hades...Hera...Hestia and Demeter.... Chronus came to knw tht he will be killed by his son.... so he swallowed each of his children as thy were born but Rhea hid the sixth child tht was Zeus.... n made Chronus swallow a stone. when Zeus grew up he decided to kill his father n make him vomit his siblings.... so Zeus killed Chronus(sounds familiar... son killin father) n made him vomit his siblings... mind you they are 'GODS' they are immortals.. thy dont die... btw wat did thy eat for so many years in Chronus' stomach.... oops... they are 'GODS' thy dont need food. .... now Zeus became the king of gods.... n married Hera(his sister... have heard tht before)bhaiya mere........... it does not end here..... the main gods who ruled durin Zeus' time were 12 in number n were called the Olympians.... Olympians have a story of their own... more interrestin thn tht of their ancestors..... their ancestors bloodline was entwined within themselves only whereas the Olympians bloodline reached the humans too.... u knw wat i mean dont u......
scandals.... murders n wat not can be found in Greek mythology..... this is where the t.v n filmmakers get their ideas from... n so do the humans...... the gods themselves are not sinless and how do thy expect us humans to be...... even the GODS are 'GREY'.
you aint heard (read) anything till u've heard about Zeus..... wait till i write about Zeus n his love life........till thn keep sinning... even the gods do....CHEERS!!!!

reservation...

49% reservation... the ST ..SC..OBC's will study in IIT's n IIM's while the general students will go to VIDYAPITHS....the pro-reservation people say that backward classes should be given equality and oppurtunity... i think they should be given these things but not by snatching the same from general students. if a ST..SC..OBC gets into AIIM n IIT n IIM the only equality they will get is the equality of being students of the same institution as the generals. after this no equality at all..how the hell are they going to match the education we have recieved for 14 years... whatever will be taught in colleges is goin to be hard for them to understand. i dont say or mean that they dont have brains or sumthing..they mite be ppl with amazin intellectual abilites but their primary education is not apt.. most of them study in madarsas and pathshalas... you cant expect them to grasp the ways of such esteemed institutes that easily... plus ENGLISH is going to be a obstacle for them.. half of their study time will go in findin words from the dictionary..... it's not about lookoing down upon them ..it's about the problems they will have to face...they will become students of good institutes but when they pass out with average marks it's will be of no use..waste of time for them...the good students have a hard time making their mark..average students are like almost out of question......the govt. will not make efforts to strengthen the foundation of the backward classes... all they are doing is making bulidings without foundations... which will collapse sooner or later...there's nothing wrong with reservation... what is wrong is it's place and method of implementation.... wrong kind of reservation is not at all welcome...
